Most of the Nail Defender label is made of plant oils. Each one starts somewhere: a bud, a flower, a nut or a seed.
The bud
Clove bud oil comes from the dried buds of a tree that grew first on small islands in Indonesia. The scent is warm and spicy.
The petals
Lavender flower oil is steamed from the purple flower spikes of a Mediterranean shrub. The scent is soft and floral.
The nut
Sweet almond oil is pressed from almonds and is one of the lightest oils in the plant oil blend.
The seeds
Jojoba comes from a desert shrub, chia from a sage-family plant and linseed from flax. Each seed packs a small amount of oil.
The leaf and the vitamin
Aloe vera leaf brings water-rich gel, while vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin found in many of the same seeds and nuts.
What the brand says
The brand lists the oil blend for moisture and nourishment, clove for a clean, balanced feel and lavender for a soothing note.*
